Fishing Lake
We have recently purchased Cotness Fishing Lake situated in John’s Wood just 2 miles from the hotel.
Daily fees for Leisure Club Members are just £10.00 a head per day, Hotel residents have free use of the lake during their stay.
An annual fishing permit for non-members is £200 available from Springfield Leisure Club reception.
A tranquil and beautiful environment, bought not only to improve the quality of your stay, but also to help you maximize your enjoyment and appreciation of the local countryside.
The lake has an abundant stock of fish including:
Common Carp – 30LB. Mirror Carp – 30LB. Roach – 2.5LB. Perch – 4.5LB. Tench – 4LB. Rudd – 1.5LB.
The lake is a free facility for all our residential guests – Why not order a hamper from the hotel?
We kindly ask that you abide by our rules for the fishing lake as listed below.
- Fishing – dawn-dusk (no night fishing)
- Unhooking mat to be used for unhooking carp
- Barbless hooks only
- No Rods to be left unattended
- No Trout pellets
- No keep nets
- Landing nets must be knotless
- Please use net dip
- Ensure that you do not leave litter
- Under 16 – you must be supervised by an adult.
